ACCOUNTING AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

Prerequisite: Grades 11-12, Information Technology and Multimedia or BCA

This year-long course is designed to provide entry-level skills for employment as an accounting clerk and to prepare for college coursework for a career in Accounting and other business-related fields. Following understanding of basic accounting concepts, students will choose their area of specialization and work independently on partnership accounting, corporate accounting, payroll accounting, banking, record keeping, computerized accounting or other financial projects. Students may elect to take this class for a second year, continuing in their area of specialization. We will also participate in Investment Challenge, a nationwide Internet stock market competition.
