DIGITAL MEDIA AND DESIGN
½ credit-semester
Prerequisite: Grades 11-12, Information Technology and Multimedia

This course is a continuation of skills learned in Multimedia. Students are introduced to concepts of digital media and have to apply them to hands-on projects. The course work includes several defined mini projects; each emphasizes a set of key topics in digital media design to include a movie with pictures, graphics, sound, text, and video. Utilizing Photoshop software, students will expand skills in the applications of this electronic tool for manipulating photographs and illustrations. Students will develop and produce their own creative digital productions. Students will use programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Quicktime, Moviemaker and Microsoft Publisher. The course introduces new features, tips, and techniques for using these electronic tools.
