MANAGEMENT AND MARKETING

Prerequisite: Grades 11-12, Information Technology and Multimedia
Recommended: Accounting and Financial Management
This course is designed to allow students the opportunity to begin to prepare for a career in management, marketing, or entrepreneurship. Management of the school store will be a focus of this class, which will involve product planning, designing, and pricing, along with all other aspects of running a small business. After gaining an understanding of management and marketing concepts, students will choose an area of specialization and work independently in entrepreneurship, international business, local tourism, retail sales, e-commerce, or other related projects. Students will be guided through the process of creating a small business of their own design, in which they might generate job opportunities for themselves and others. Students will have individualized plans allowing them to repeat the course.
